Neil
- Veterans Day Poppy, Big Eyed Beans From Venus.
There are some necessary self-deprecations:
Poor quality recordings----old
cassette 4-track. Learned and recorded them in the same day (I think the
drummer learned the drums before that though)---so several mistakes/ad-libs--Sorry
Don, Marker and Rick. I was just a young pup. I was drunk. Ending of Veteran's
Day Poppy goes on forever.
Oh well, it was all in good fun.
Rex I Luria - Bat Chain Puller. (MP3). The story behind this shameful attrocity is that I have been working on a version of BatChainPuller that is really faithful to the incredible ShinyBeast arrangement (at least as faithful to it as I am capable). THIS IS NOT THAT VERSION! Last wednesday I was fooling with a sampler and created a loop. Well, I was quite taken by the hypnotic drumming of that loop. (I know, DVV says he wants his music to be NOT hypnotic..) So I decided to play some guitar over it and some of the melodies from batchain puller came out spontaneously and in no rational order. The next day I listened to it and thought about whether to erase it or finish it. I first decided to erase it because it seemed too silly and untrue to the original masterpiece. For some reason I changed my mind. I OD'd bass, dual slide guitar parts and drums. All trax are real time takes except for the loop. Thanks for your patience.
